Trip to Denmark

Being half Danish, Denmark has always had a special place in my life and in my heart. Some of my best childhood memories are from our long summer trips to Denmark, from crisscrossing the country, playing in Grandma’s backyard, and of course, Brostræde, the best ice cream ever, in Helsingør.

Like many European countries, Denmark, with its rich history, beautiful suburbs, and magnificent palaces and castles, is a dream destination for landscape and cityscape photographers. Unfortunately we are yet to plan for a special photo trip to Denmark. However, like any of our travels, I always try to use every opportunity to take shots using either one of our Nikon DSLRs (typically with a “travel lens” such as 18-200mm) or our small, but trusty, Point and Shoot (Powershot S95).

Here are some of my pictures mostly from a recent trip I had. Like most of our pictures, these are shot in RAW using Manual or Aperture Priority exposure mode, processed in Lightoom 4, and exported to JPEG. Hope you enjoy them. Please feel free to share your thoughts and leave any comments or critique you may have…

Thanks for visiting…
